sight: I bought a copy of Flesh Fiction volume one, which is an anthology of erotic fiction, mostly because I've got a story in it. Obviously I think mine is great, but even without that, it's pretty great - a genuinely interesting mix of funny, sexy, atmospheric and moving stories!

sound: YouTube, mostly. Although having said that, the Since I Left You album by The Avalanches is excellent and I've been on that train this week.

touch: I finished a crochet shawl! It's made 100% entirely with handspun yarn, so the project has taken me over a year in total, and I am so, so proud of it. I'm leaving it at work for now, to be my "the air con in here is set to Baltic" shawl.

taste: ...once again, I'm drinking white wine. At this rate, no one is going to believe I don't actually drink that much, but in my defence this was part of the payment for getting into the Flesh Fiction anthology. It's a Villa Maria Sauvignon Blanc, if you even care.

scent: This last week I've been focusing on using up some of my samples, specifically the ones I LIKE but know I don't want a full bottle of. Today I wore Call For A Good Time by Discothéque, which is a jasmine BOMB. I like jasmine, but it was a bit one-note and STRONG. Tonight I even went over it with Rouge Avignon from Phaedon, and I can STILL smell the jasmine.

imagine: I'm on with the alien romance - it's an extension of the story from the anthology. It's... happening, which it hasn't been for a few weeks, so I'm happy about that.

sight: I've been demolishing Victoria Aveline's alien romance series, to get in the mood to write mine.

sound: I'm not proud to be using Spotify - I am trying to wean myself away from harmful products like this, but for the time being I have to admit I've been enjoying my All Time Top Songs playlist. There's lots of Reuben on it.

touch:I haven't been making/crafting anything since the spinning I did; migraines.

taste: I did manage to go to the pub for a drink after work last night, and had a really pleasant glass of Pinot Grigio!

scent: Oh my gosh, I tried a 1ml sample of Kar-Wai from Carine Roitfeld this week and it's fucking stunning. It's an osmanthus-forward fragrance, and previously my knowledge of osmanthus came from poisonous soup in Road to Empress, but it turns out I'd have sucked that soup down happily because this stuff smells incredible.

imagine: The alien book won. I've had some breakthroughs relating to the plot, and am actively preparing to get into this new draft.

sight: I'm currently reading A Beast Slinks Towards Beijing by Alice Evelyn Yang. It's so far like having a fever dream in the height of summer in a claustrophobic, sticky flat. I love it.

sound: I've been listening to a lot of perfume podcasts, because I'm refreshing my perfume collection so I wanted some up to date knowledge about what notes/styles are in fashion. I'm not convinced milky gourmands are for me, but I'm intrigued by the summery pear notes I'm seeing.

touch: I've been spinning this weekend - two skeins of a gorgeous peacock blue with some stellina glitter in it. It's super soft and I wish I had the right set up to record my spinning wheel, because it would make for exceptional ASMR.

taste: I went to a colleague's birthday bash at a local pub recently, and I had the loveliest, fruitiest glass of white wine. No idea what it was, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

scent: All week, I've been testing the perfumes in the Maison Matine discovery set. A lot of them were nice but disappointing in how quickly they vanished, but I really enjoyed Lost in Translation and Into the wild. Also, Arashi No Umi lasted aaaaaaaages, but I need to wear it again to see if I'm really into it, as it's SUPER sweet.

imagine: I've edited my vampire book. I need to decide if I'm going to focus on the dragon book or the alien book next... I think the alien book, as a couple of people I've told about it have been enthused.
